Google recently launched a Google Analytics Property app solution. This app was initially compatible only with the Android devices but now the developers have enhanced its functionalities and made it compatible for iPhone users as well. You can now get time-based, real-time based work reports, study the behaviour, conversion factors, and much more.
The Google Analytics Property or sometimes we call it Analytics 360 property, was confined to the account where it was created but its users expressed their deep concern and asked the company to make this app switch between accounts as well. The app has been successfully running from past 10 years and the marketers are happy to use the app and move between the accounts to carry out their activities with ease.
Now you have the option to move your property from one account to another so you can consolidate your multiple accounts and bring together your properties to a single account so that the things become manageable for you. This will be an added advantage of using Google Analytics Property between the accounts.
Salient features of this app:
- You don’t have to use different filters to view properties instead you can use same filters and do your job as you used to do earlier.
- Your property becomes manageable as it can now be accessed from a single account only
- Change History option allows you to see events from different accounts.
This property is very helpful for those Google users who hire third parties to manage their Google Analytics. If any third party if managing your account, then he or she knows complete personal details of yours’. But now switching between the accounts property allow you to migrate your property from one account to another.
Let us now see how can you move your Property??
When you have accessed your primary account and you want to migrate your property to another account, the first step that you need to make sure is that you have access to both the accounts. You can get full access when you get permissions for the Edit and manage users’ property.
Step-wise process of moving from one account to other:
The very first step is to Sign into your Google Analytics property account.
- Then go to the Admin section.
- Now move to “Property Settings” and make changes in the property that you want to migrate.
- The last but not the least option is “Move Property” given at the top right corner to switch your property.
- Note: you don’t need to retag while moving from one account to another.
Google is continuously updating its services and now it has introduced delete option within Google Analytics accounts.
Google Analytics stores your data in properties. A single account may have multiple properties and a single property may have multiple views and this allows Google users to transform their data via filters.
Earlier users were not given the facility to delete any property or view but now Google has given users accessibility to delete the individual property directly.
Google consider it one of their accomplishments and there is more to come.
