Huge Image Carousels
Huge image carousels are not preferred by most of the designers to implement on mobile versions because of the performance and navigation issues attached to it.
Low Performance
Huge image carousels lacks when it comes to display many objects in a row. Considering an example if many images are to be displayed in a row over a website it won’t be possible to use an image carousel as image size would be as large as device screen and hence arranging many of images in a row would not work.
Even when running on mobile it might lead to crash mobile browser in try open many such elements on webpage. Hence, optimization of image carousels size is needed at most to overcome the issue of low performance.
Navigation
Navigation is second issue attached to huge image carousels as if there are numerous or many images arranged over a webpage in carousels size then its navigation would be a lot difficult and inconvenient for the viewer or visitor. Not only it would consume lots of time to navigate through all images present over webpage it would also lead to making webpage heavier in size leading to consumption of websites space and visitors internet data.
This issue can be overcome to an extent by creating a grid view from carousel HTML by making changes at the image sources and CSS.
